Do you install the stairlift yourselves, or use contractors?
We install every stairlift ourselves, using employed Ability Plus engineers. We never use third-party contractors. Our engineers are based at our Sittingbourne hub and cover the whole of Kent. You deal with us throughout — from survey to installation to any service calls.

Can I try a stairlift before I buy?
Yes. We have stairlift displays in our Sittingbourne and Bluewater showrooms. You are welcome to visit, sit on the chair, use the controls, and ask our team any questions — no appointment needed, no pressure.
Do you offer finance?
Do you offer finance?
Yes. Finance options are available on stairlifts. Ask in any of our five Kent stores or mention it when you book your survey and we will explain the options available to you.
What is the difference between a straight and curved stairlift?
What is the difference between a straight and curved stairlift?
A straight stairlift runs along a straight flight of stairs. A curved stairlift has a rail that bends to follow a staircase with corners, landings or a spiral. Curved rails are made to measure for your specific staircase, which is why they cost more and take a little longer. Our engineers will assess your staircase during the free survey and recommend the right solution.
